چکیده
Holoparasitic broomrape weeds (Orobanche and Phelipanche spp.) are a major biotic constraint limiting the production of important food crops. Parasitism caused by spp. is considered to be serious threat, particularly in Mediterranean region. In this study, species collected from infested fennel fields Sid L’Mokhtar Central West Morocco was described identified morphologically molecularly. For molecular identification, 700 bp ITS regions were PCR-amplified two representative individuals, OA OY-4. The obtained sequences exhibited more than 99% similarity with P. schultzii sequence (MT026593). addition, maximum likelihood analysis placed our other referred same clade. Through analysis, attacking as schultzii. This first record parasitizing (Foeniculum vulgare syn. Foeniculum officinale) Morocco. Therefore, it should that parasite could spread cultivated causing severe yield losses, requiring urgent action through efficient control measures avoid further parasitic weed.

Phytotoxicity and stimulatory impacts of nanosized and bulk titanium dioxide on fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill).
The objective of the this study was to compare concentrations of nanosized TiO2 at 0, 5, 20, 40, 60 and 80 mg L(-1) with bulk TiO2 for phytotoxic and stimulatory effects on fennel seed germination and early growth stage. After 14 d of seed incubation, germination percentage highly improved following exposure to 60 ppm nanosized TiO2. Similar positive effects occurred in terms of shoot dry weigh...
متن کاملDevelopment of Microsatellite Markers in the Branched Broomrape Phelipanche ramosa L. (Pomel) and Evidence for Host-Associated Genetic Divergence
Phelipanche ramosa is a parasitic plant that infects numerous crops worldwide. In Western Europe it recently expanded to a new host crop, oilseed rape, in which it can cause severe yield losses. We developed 13 microsatellite markers for P. ramosa using next-generation 454 sequencing data. The polymorphism at each locus was assessed in a sample of 96 individuals collected in France within 6 fie...
متن کاملA Review on the Botanical, Ecological, Agronomical and Pharmacological Properties of the Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.)
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) is one of the most important, most consuming aromatic and medicinal plants and it is one of the most exportable items in Iran. The fennel has essential oil and seeds are the most important organ that produces essential oil, and the most important compound is anethole (50 to 75). The level and quality of essential oils of fennel are influenced by factors such as...

In order to evaluate the effect of different biological and organic fertilizers on essential oil content of sweet fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill), an experiment was conducted at Research field of Faculty of Agriculture, Shahrood University of Technology in 2010. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized block design with 11 treatments and three replications. The experimental trea...
